From the artist, 8/28/2017:

"I have been watching the news non stop and I am devastated at the impact this storm is having on this city and the Texas coast. We are safe and stuck in the city and all I want to do is jump in a boat and help rescue or volunteer or just do something. However, I realized in my anxiety of wanting to help these families and sweet pets that the most powerful impact that we all can have is #pray #prayforhouston #prayfortexas #prayforourresponders #prayforourdoctors #prayforstrength #prayforendurance #prayfordeliverance I quickly painted this muddy Texas watercolor this morning as a quick stress outlet. The colors remind me of the bayou and the heart is hopeful. #hopeful #texasforever "

Specifically, by purchasing this art you will be sharing relief and support monetarily to Houston, Texas through the Greater Houston Community Foundation, established by Houston mayor and Judge Ed Emmett, and Rockport, Texas, The Rockport Center for Arts.
