The Pheasant Shawl

Hawkhurst South

"The English winter turns the country a sleepy tawny color of a lioness, except the hedgerows that run neatly between the fields. The horn blows sharply and the distinctive flutter and cackle of a rooster is heard coming in from a distance. The bird breaks over the far left pegs and the tweed clad shooters strain backwards in choreographed unison."
